If you've ever met our family, you know one thing—we're hat people.

Well... almost all of us. Dené loves hats. Sean loves hats. The boys practically live in hats. (We'll let our one non-hat lover remain anonymous. 😄)

It all started on a family vacation, where we spent an afternoon creating custom hats together. It was one of those unexpectedly fun experiences that had everyone smiling—and before long, Calvin and Olive were asking asking, "Can we make more when we get home?" That's when we realized this was something worth sharing.

Seeing how excited everyone was, a light bulb went off.

The ride home was filled with ideas. What if we could bring this experience to birthday parties and events? What if every guest could create something they were proud to wear instead of taking home another party favor that ends up in a drawer? Our 19 hour drive home was filled with creating the framework for Hell Ya Hats (Grandma Patty really wished we’d call this Heck Ya Hats, but she’ll be ok!).

That vacation idea became Hell Ya Hats.

Today, we're a family-run mobile hat bar that brings the fun to birthdays, schools, corporate events, fundraisers, and celebrations of all kinds. Guests get to design their own premium trucker hat, creating something that's uniquely theirs—and something they'll actually wear long after the party is over.

Building Hell Ya Hats has become about so much more than hats.

We're intentionally teaching our kids every part of what it takes to build a business from the ground up. They get a front-row seat to brainstorming ideas, designing products, helping at events, serving customers, solving problems, packing inventory, and learning that success comes from showing up, working hard, and treating people well. You mean they can learn, we can have fun, and they can save money for a new X-Box?? Sign us up!

Our hope is that every event leaves guests with more than just a great hat. We want them to leave with a memory they'll smile about every time they put it on.
